Here are our suggestions for:
Hotels Chamonix - Located Close To Ski Lifts At Chamonix Mont Blanc at:
We have not included hotels nearby the Aiguille du Midi Cable Car as this is not a lift that takes skiers to groomed pistes. This cable car is for sightseers to view the spectacular scenery of this amazing range of Alps and for skiers heading down the off-piste Vallee Blanche.
You may want to read more about skiing in Chamonix - the resort is so vast and nearly all the excellent groomed pistes are at high altitude. Chamonix is about high altitude skiing and low altitude sleeping. What's more getting the bus is inevitable, if you want to explore all of the resort's offerings.

This Haute Savoie style hotel is just 55 yards from the Brevent Cable Car.
This cable car takes skiers to the mid level at Plan Praz where there is excellent intermediate grade pistes. There is a good variety of long red and blue groomed runs and an excellent nursery/green slopes here too. If you're looking for challenge, head up the second cable car to the very top of Brevent.
But, this is not ski-in, ski-out as the resort is not designed to be at high altitude.
There is free wi-fi and daily buffet breakfast. It is in a quiet location in the northern section of Chamonix Mont Blanc.

To get to the La Savoy drag lift, just cross the road and walk past the car park next to Club Med. It's that close.
The La Savoy drag lift is a lovely gentle nursery slope and it is quite safe for beginners as it is isolated and you won't get fast skiers crowding out the anxious beginners. There is a longer lift that goes to the base of the Brevent cable car.
This hotel is ideally located for access to the free buses that go directly to the cable car terminals in the Chamonix Valley. The closest bus stop is the Mummery, steps away on the corner of Rue Joseph Vallot and Avenue du Mont Blanc. Go out the door and to the left. The little eco bus also stops here.
I don't consider this as the center of town but it really is only a block from the pedestrian mall and while it is not in the beautiful part of Chamonix, it really is close enough.
All in all...an excellent location.
As to facilities, besides the free wi-fi, there's a billiards room, a fitness center, free onsite parking, buffet breakfast is available and a large balcony with views looking over the river to Mont Blanc.
This has to be one of the best located properties in town. It's outside my definition of center of Chamonix Mont Blanc but only a block away from the charming cobbled pedestrian only zone where you'll find the lovely stores, fine gourmet restaurants and charming coffee houses.
But right next door - literally, outside the side entrance, is the La Savory nursery slopes. While the Nursery area is isolated from the main highly trafficked pistes, the longer lift does go to the Brevent gondolas so there is access to the Brevent-Flegere regions.
While Club med is not everyone's cup of tea, it does have the unique advantage of it's Baby Club with experienced staff to care for your little ones under 2 years of age. There are no care facilities for children older than 24 months.

This charming family run hotel is fairly close to the nursery slopes at Les Planards. It is located on the side of town of the Montenvers train station and a fair walk to the center of Chamonix.
To access the majority of the buses you'll have to make your way to the main train station - all buses will stop here.
Les Planards is the larger of the two nursery slopes in Chamonix, the other being at La Savory, as described above.
While the ski area here is at low altitude, being on the valley floor at 1040m, snow making facilities means there is mostly always adequate snow cover.
The slopes here are sheltered, the pistes being cut through the forests and it can get a little cold being north facing. Les Planards is ideal as a nursery area as it is completely isolated from the other lift systems, so you will not get the "yahoo" skiers descending on the newbies.
You'll find most of the ski school lessons are held here.
Visitors love the charm and friendliness of this hotel and the free on-site parkeing. There are charges for wi-fi and breakfast is available as are packed lunches. There is no on-site restaurant for dinner.

The Le' Hameau Albert is within proximity of the Les Planards lifts, but I would consider this a fairly long walk.
