Chamonix France Ski Vacation - Loved It!

(Sydney, Australia)

We first went to Chamonix 20 years ago with an 11 month-old baby. We last went when he was 18-years old with his 15-year old sister.

These are my ski buddies. They are competitive skiiers but know how to have fun.

Our three highlights:

Valee Blanche
We skiied the Valee Blanche with a Compagnie du Guides guide and it was excellent. One of the best ski experiences - ever. We were in good hands all the way, travelling at the right pace for me.

The scenery was spectacular so you really don't want to rush it and you will want to get the camera out a few times.

We went back several times to Courmayeur and I even sent our two kids on their own one day when I got ill. It is a big resort with a lot of variety and, at the time of our last visit, slightly better snow. A great option to have but only with the Unlimited ski pass.

Large Hadron Collider
Another daytrip (hired a car from Europecar). Being a bit of a science geek this was a wonderful experience and we were guided by a recently retired scientist who was full of interesting side stories.
