This hotel is located across the road from the end of the pedestranized paved mall which leads to the center of Chamonix Mont Blanc at Place Balmat. It is fairly close to the center and steps from the Mummery bus stop for the ski bus.

This is in a village between the main town and the village of Argentiere. Travelers comment that it is about 2 miles out of town and about a 100m walk to get to the bus stop. If you’re out in the evening, just check the times of the night bus.

The resort is massive and it takes an hour by road from one end of the valley to the other. On piste or ski-in ski-out Chamonix hotels accommodation is limited given the geography is such that it's about high altitude skiing and low altitude sleeping.
Fact: commuting is a necessity.
No matter the location of your accommodation - apartments, chalets or hotels Chamonix is too spread out and you will need to become a fan of the local buses. Frankly, the buses are more convenient than the trains. Some hotels in Chamonix offer chauffeur services to nearby lifts.
Although having to commute is a major downside, the skiing is FAN-TAS-TIC whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier.
