Chamonix rental
Ski Equipment

Q

We are enquiring about Chamonix rental of equipment for our group tour.   For skiing, may we know if there is an entrance fee? How much is the cost of cable cars and rental of shoes and other gadgets.

Thank you very much.

Hello Ronald,

Thank you for stopping by our site and for your enquiry about the:

1.cost of tickets for lift access

2.cost of rental of ski equipment

Access to Cable Cars

In relation to the cost of tickets to access the lifts, Chamonix's ticketing system is for the Chamonix Le Pass and Mont Blanc Unlimited Pass which is suitable for downhill skiers requiring constant and regular access to the lifts and cable cars.

If you require only irregular use of the cable cars, you and your group can purchase daily tickets. The cost of this varies depending on the cable car.  For example, a one way ticket from Chamonix to the top of Brevent costs 21e, while the cost of a one way cable car ticket from Chamonix to the top of the Aiguille du Midi costs 42e.

Rental of Equipment

As to the cost of hire of ski equipment, Snells, which is the largest sports store in Chamonix Mont Blanc publishes its rental pricing on this page:

http://www.cham3s.com/snell-rental-prices.html

This will be a good guide of costs.

Snells is the most conveniently located store, being right in the middle of Chamonix Mont Blanc at Place Balmat and this means it is easy to get to for
collecting and returning rental gear.

I trust this information has been helpful to you. I am certain you and your
group of friends will have a most marvellous time in Chamonix!

All the best
